Lee, I agree with you as far as Paul goes, and maybe Robertson shouldn't have been the one to say what was said, regardless, I think the point of what he said is valid and many of the policies that were made by previous presidents should be reconsidered in the light of this "New World" that is emerging before our eyes.

I think that this sort of statement would have been better heard and received from a political leader, not a religious one.
As far as the rest, I never set out to have everyone agree with me, I mean, even Robertson has back-stepped on his own statement, which I think is a mistake, regardless.

I want to say very clearly that I am not advocating Pat Robertson, nor what he has said in the past or what he may say in the future, my only reason for making this post in the first place was to bring to light the opinion that I share along with many others that if we can stop a war from happening by taking preemptive measures than I am for it.
This is not a popular opinion and I'm aware of that, it's also about as anti-P.C. as is possible, for that I make no apologies, nor concessions.
That said; please continue to bash Robertson on the rest of his twisted ideas of reality and culture.

As I said before I don't think that Pat Robertson is/was the best spokesperson to have delivered this message, and apparently he thinks this too because he has recanted his opinion for better or worse. For that matter, I wish that a properly elected politician would have the balls to stand up and say it!
As for me, I am not supporting assassination as a deterrent to war as a Christian, I am supporting assassination as a deterrent to war as an American Citizen.
